University of St. Thomas offers new mental health courses this summer

Announcement

The University of St. Thomas is proud to offer new mental health courses developed by mental health experts and school personnel for teachers and others working with youth in schools. Dr. Mark Sander, Psy. D., L.P. and Dr. Charlene Myklebust, Psy.D. will co-teach the course.

The first course in the mental health for educators sequence, “Mental Health and Well-being for Educators,” will be offered in the summer with half price tuition! St. Thomas is in the process of having the course work approved as a 12-credit certificate. If the certificate is approved by the Higher Learning Commission, the summer course will transfer in.

This course could be used as an elective if you are already enrolled in a degree program. Please check with your advisor.

This course meets the requirements for the “Early Warning Signs of Children’s Mental Health Disorders” and “Suicide Prevention” CEU’s required by the Minnesota Department of Education.
