What are the State of Minnesota requirements for teaching license renewal, and do the EQ Learn courses address these requirements?
- Minnesota has a 4 Tier Licensure system and the associated mandatory renewal requirements vary, depending on whether you have a Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 or Tier 4 license. This chart on Education Minnesota is very helpful in summarizing all teacher certification requirements by tier.
- ALL teacher licensure renewals require the Cultural Competency course, with the exception of short term substitute teacher re-licensure. That said, it is highly desirable for short term substitute teachers to have this information in order to meet the learning needs of all students.

- School counselors, school social workers, school psychologists, school nurses, and speech language pathologists must take the same courses required of Tier 3 and 4 teachers, (unless requirements have been met through Master Teacher preparation). Each course takes approximately 3 hours to complete, and earns 3 clock hours of continuing education credit.
Can I come back to the course at a later time to complete?
Yes. When you login again to EQLearn.com, you will be able to return to the course where you left off.
What documentation do I receive when I complete a course?
When you complete a course, you will receive a printable Certificate of Completion. This certificate will be available on your account page and is applicable for teaching license re-certification. If you are a School Administrator, you will also receive a printable BOSA Certificate of Completion.
Do I have access to my account history from your previous website, ProEdPal.com? Yes, when we built the new website, we transferred your account name, password and purchase history to EQ Learn.
